Dogs do need Vaccines! But not all vaccines are necessary for every dog, and not all need to be given vaccines yearly. This is my opinion, so feel free to give me yours. No, not all vaccines need to be given annually.

Core Vaccines often last 3 – 7 years or more, especially after the dog is 16 weeks old.

Distemper

Rabies

Parvovirus

Adnovirus

Non-Core vaccines may be given yearly only if your dog’s lifestyle warrants it.

Bordetella

Lime Disease

Leptospirosis

Canine Influence

These are only needed if your dog parks or boarding or live in tick prone areas. Some have suggest that risk of over Vaccination can lead to Autoimmune issues, Allergic reactions, Chronic inflammation so I tell people the best thing you can do for your beloved pet is do the Titer Testing first before giving more shots, it is a simple blood test that checks the immunity levels. Bottom line again, in my opinion: Vaccines are vital, but more isn’t always better.
